Ernest Neville-Rolfe

On the south wall of St Margaret's church Westminster are two tablets of identical design to Admiral Ernest Neville-Rolfe and his wife Janet. Both are buried at Heacham in Norfolk. The inscriptions read: 

+ Admiral Ernest Neville-Rolfe, C.B. 1847-1909. He served this Church and Parish in the office of Churchwarden being loved and trusted by the Rector and Parishioners. He was buried with his fathers at Heacham, Norfolk
+ Janet the beloved wife of Admiral Ernest Neville-Rolfe, C.B. who fell asleep February the 23rd 1908 and was laid to rest at Heacham, Norfolk.

He was born on 11th August 1847 and was a Captain in the Royal Navy in 1884 and then Commander of the Repulse. In 1904 he first served as churchwarden and was made an Admiral in 1907.
