Remembering the Wars

Workshop for KS3 and KS4 students

Tour the Abbey to learn about the Unknown Warrior and the impact of conflicts on the Abbey. Unpick a sonnet to explore language choices made by Wilfred Owen and Rupert Brooke.

Cost: £5 per pupil (includes a tour of the Abbey)
Recommended start times: 10.00am and 12.45pm

Gothic Abbey

Tour for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students

Explore the differences between Medieval Gothic and Victorian Gothic on this architectural and literary tour.

Cost: £4 per pupil


Shakespeare

Tour for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students

Faith, power and death: explore the cultural context of Shakespeare’s plays in Westminster Abbey and visit the graves and memorials of Tudor and Jacobean playwrights.

Cost: £4 per pupil


 

At different times of the day, or in different seasons, the light falling in the Abbey will light up something that you have walked past a million times and never seen before.
