The Queen & Her Abbey tour
Explore the special links between Her Majesty The Queen and Westminster Abbey on a new guided tour created especially for the Platinum Jubilee.
About the tour
On this one-hour tour with an Abbey guide, you will find out about the royal occasions which The Queen has marked at the Abbey, including her marriage to The Duke of Edinburgh, and her coronation here in 1953.
You will also discover how much has changed in Britain and across the world through exploring the Abbey’s memorials and hearing about the special services which have taken place during her 70-year reign.
You will visit areas of the Abbey not usually open to the public including a visit to St George’s Chapel, the location of the Coronation Chair. And you will see one of the latest additions to the Abbey, The Queen’s Window, a vibrantly coloured stained glass window by artist David Hockney which was installed in 2018 to celebrate The Queen’s reign.
