Theodore Price

Dr Theodore Price, prebendary and Sub-Dean of Westminster, died on 15th December 1631 (apparently as a Roman Catholic) and was buried in the south transept (the broad aisle) of Westminster Abbey but he has no marker. He was the son of Rees ap Tudor and his wife Marjory (Stanley) and was born about 1570 in Merioneth in Wales. At All Souls Oxford he was a chorister and later Principal of Hart Hall in Oxford. He was rector of Llanfair, prebendary of Winchester, rector of Launton and of Islip in Oxfordshire and prebendary of Lincoln cathedral. He served at the Abbey from 1623-1631 and was unmarried. His will was proved by his nephew Dr William Lewis, Master of the Hospital of St Cross. Theodore was a kinsman of Dr John Williams, Dean of Westminster and prebendary Ellis Wynn was his cousin.
