Westminster Abbey is a wonderful place for groups under the age of 25 to explore big questions. We want to welcome all community groups, making visits free where we can and tailoring sessions to your interests.

Tours
Tours are available on a range of themes including identities, STEM and royalty. We are happy to tailor content to your group’s needs and interests. Participants are invited to interact and engage in conversation throughout.

Workshops
We currently offer interactive workshops which can be adapted to your group's needs and interests. Inspired by the Abbey's architecture and stories, young people have the opportunity to create with storytelling, poetry or arts and crafts.

Projects
We also work with groups to develop short-form projects as opportunities to build employability skills, reflect and explore creativity. Projects might explore a specific theme, story or space within the Abbey over several visits.

Prayer and worship
As a living and working church, the Abbey has daily services. Groups are welcome to attend and we are happy to reserve spaces on your behalf. This can be a special and enriching experience for people of all faiths and those of no faith.
Essential information
We believe that Westminster Abbey is a space for everyone.
The Abbey does not receive funding from Church, Government or Crown and as such we rely on visitor entry fees to fund our work.
If costs prohibit your group from visiting, please do get in touch with us to discuss a subsidised visit.
Standard tour costs:
Group members: £4 each
1 free group leader per 10 young people
Extra group leaders: £14 each

The safety and security of all our visitors is of paramount importance to us. If you would like to see copies of our risk assessments, policies or request further information about security protocols, do contact us.
Westminster Abbey is an old building. The floor is uneven in some spaces and some areas have steps leading up to them.
We are always happy to adapt our sessions to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of visiting groups.

Some barriers may be felt due to the age, size, faith or power linked with the building, but it is a space that belongs to all of us. We have a large team of volunteers in the Learning Department supporting our family and school visitors. Volunteers supervise art and craft activities, lead tours and assist with workshops. If you are over 18 and interested in volunteering with us, please get in touch.
