Westminster Abbey is royal church offering daily services for all and a World Heritage Site with over a thousand years of history. We welcome press enquiries, and offer an out-of-hours service for urgent media calls.

Press passes

We manage media accreditation for major services at the Abbey.

TV/Radio

We offer filming facilities for documentaries/factual programmes which have a link to the Abbey. Filming takes place around our services and visiting so get in touch early as slots are limited. There is a fee, and we have conservation guidelines for programme makers.

Photography

Personal photography is welcome at the Abbey, although only in selected areas of the church. For more information, see our photography policy where a selection of images can also be downloaded for personal use. We are unable to offer commercial photography shoots.

Picture Library

We can send images for editorial use to your publication or website. Commercial picture enquiries, including academics and book publishers, should get in touch with the Abbey Library.

In the centre is the Virgin Mary, seated and cradling her son. On either side of the figures are two ships. The first is that which carried St Augustine and his monks to England in the sixth century, bringing with them the Christian faith; and the second is the Windrush, which brought many who renewed the faith in the areas where they settled.
