David Croft

David Croft was a generous donor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal which culminated in the cleaning of Henry VII's Lady chapel in 1995. Several decorated enamelled copper plaques, designed by Donald Buttress and painted by Kenneth Breese in 1999, record donors names by the side of the steps to this chapel. That to Mr Croft, of A.W. Europe Ltd, reads:

David Croft "A Yorkshireman" 1938-1992

(He is not the TV producer David Croft).
