Wreath laid for Anthony Trollope

A Wreath laying to Commemorate the Bicentenary of the Birth of Anthony Trollope was held at Westminster Abbey on Friday 4th December 2015. His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent laid the wreath.

The service was conducted by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall.

Joanna Trollope OBE read Ecclesiasticus 44: 1-2, 8-9, 10, 13-15 and Michael Williamson DL, Chairman of the Trollope Society, read Anthony Trollope by Mowbray Morris Junior. The Address was given by the Right Reverend and Right Honourable Dr Richard Chartres KCVO, Bishop of London and President of the Trollope Society.

Vivian Williams, 'cello, and Tim Francis, actor, performed the Barchester Prayer.

Prayers were led by the Reverend Christopher Stoltz, Minor Canon and Precentor of Westminster.

The organ was played by Matthew Jorysz, Organ Scholar.
