Enjoy a fun-filled day the Abbey during the summer holidays.

Join us for brass rubbing, storytelling, tours and object handling throughout the summer.

Activities are suitable for children aged 3+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Brass Rubbing

Make a rubbing of one of our replica, custom made brasses as a perfect souvenir of your visit to the Abbey.

When and where

During Abbey opening hours in the North Transept (as you come into the Abbey).

Abbey Highlights Tour

Encounter the beautiful building of Westminster Abbey through interactive and engaging tours tailored especially for families.

Places are offered on a first come, first served basis up to a maximum group size of 15.

When and where

Each day at 10.30am, meet in the North Transept (where you first come in).

Object Handling

Get behind the glass to discover what the objects displayed in the Diamond Jubilee Galleries really feel like with our specially selected Handling Collection. If you want to extend your visit, book a visit to the Galleries and see if you can spot the objects in the exhibition.

When and where

Each day from 11.30am - 12.30pm in Poets' Corner. 


Journey back through time to discover how Westminster Abbey still stands tall even after 1,000 years after its story first began. 

Numbers of attendees will be determined by space available and social distancing rules at the time.
