Discover the Abbey’s awe-inspiring grand organ as the Summer Organ Festival continues with a performance by James O'Donnell.

This third concert in the series is given by Abbey Organist and Master of the Choristers James O’Donnell.

About James O'Donnell

James O’Donnell is Organist and Master of the Choristers of Westminster Abbey. Internationally recognised as a conductor and organ recitalist, he has worked as soloist and director with many of the country’s leading orchestras and ensembles. He has appeared as organ soloist at the BBC Proms and has given recitals all over the world.

As the Abbey’s Director of Music and principal conductor of the Abbey Choir he is responsible for directing the music at all the services and great occasions held in the Abbey and for the Abbey Choir’s busy programme of recordings, concerts and tours.


Tickets can be purchased on the door on the evening of the concert or in advance via Eventbrite (see the link above).

  • Entry for this event is via the Great West Door
  • Doors open at 6.30pm
  • The Performance will last for approximately one hour with no interval
  • Seating is unreserved
  • Children are welcome but this event is not recommended for those under the age of six
  • Photography, filming and sound recording are not permitted at Abbey concerts

Summer Organ Festival

This concert is part of the Summer Organ Festival, where the Abbey’s magnificent five-manual Harrison & Harrison organ takes centre stage. 

Matthew Jorysz, Thomas Trotter, Vincent Dubois and Peter Holder will also be performing during the festival, which will see the organ brought to life.

The festival takes place between 12th July to 9th August 2022.
