The Abbey remains open for worship and you are welcome to join us at our daily Eucharist service if you are able to travel here safely within current government guidelines.

However, for the time being we are unable to open the Abbey and St Margaret’s Church for general visiting.

A Great and Mighty Wonder: Seminar IV

Date Time Location Price

The final session in our weekly series of contemplative Advent lunchtime seminars, each with a different art historian and theologian, focussing on pictures of the Virgin and Child from the National Gallery’s collection.

Dr Jennifer Sliwka and Professor Ben Quash will explore Giovanni Bellini’s Madonna del Prato. This 45 minute lunchtime seminar is designed as a preparation for Christmas, and is part of an online series offered by the Abbey during the COVID-19 pandemic to inspire hope and reflection on the coming of Christ.
