Put your lab coats on and join us as we celebrate science and nature.

Get creative with chemistry, travel time and space through storytelling and embrace nature with our tremendous trail.

Activities

Interactive storytelling 

Discover the stories of two of the Abbey’s pioneering scientists: Mad Madge and the Comet Huntress.

Storytelling takes place at 11am and noon.

Science trail

Crack the code with our science trail and meet scientists from the past and present.

Craft

Create a glorious garden crown inspired by nature to parade around England’s oldest garden.

Other activities

Our friends from other London organisations including the Anaesthesia Museum (15 August only), the Royal Institution, the London Museum of Water and Steam will also be joining us and bringing even more fun activities for you to enjoy.

Booking information

Activities are suitable for children aged 3+.

All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout their time at the Abbey. Adults unaccompanied by children (under 18) will have their booking cancelled and will be refused entry to the event.

Timings

Once you have booked. you are welcome to arrive at any point during the morning’s activities. We would recommend arriving for 10.30am as we will finish promptly at 12.30pm.
