Go back in time (ruffly 500 years) and explore the place where Tudor monarchs were crowned. Join us for crafts, a spectacular spy trail and a terrific tale. Make memories as a family and recreate history:

Make a ruff and transform into a Tudor Spy.
When and Where: All Day in the North Transept (where you first arrive)
Follow the spy trail around the Abbey. Using the clues from the Tudor spies buried and remembered here will you uncover who has been plotting against Queen Elizabeth I?
When and Where: All Day – pick up your resources from the North Transept (where you first arrive)
Get into character and recreate a Tudor coronation in the very spot where crowning moments have happened for almost 1,000 years.
When and Where: 11:15am and 1:45pm in the Crossing (by the High Altar)
The 9-Day Queen
Gather round for a Tudor tale and discover the story of the Queen who reigned for only nine days!
When and Where: 11:30am and 2:00pm in Poets’ Corner
Family activities are free to join in when you purchase a ticket to the Abbey.
Activities are suitable for children aged 3+ working with their group. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during their visit to the Abbey.
