100 years since the first Poppy Day, join us on 6th, 13th or 20th November for a family visit to the place where the Unknown Warrior rests.

Craft activity

Create a poppy to form a collective remembrance wreath which will be laid at the foot of the Grave of the Unknown Warrior at the end of the day. Make a poppy to take home with you too.
Where: North Transept, where you first enter the Abbey

Remembrance Trail

Discover how, over a century on, Westminster Abbey marks and remembers the First World War with a Remembrance trail to mark this important time of year. 
Where: Trail stands are located all around the Abbey

Family paper trails

Collect a free family activity guide for the main Abbey church from the welcome desk. If you have bought tickets for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, explore the space with a free crown trail.

Booking information

Family activities are free to join in when you purchase a ticket to the Abbey.

Activities are suitable for children aged 3+ working with their group. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during their visit to the Abbey.

Family activities will finish at 1:00pm but you can tour the Abbey until it closes at 2:00pm.
