Angie McDonald is the Volunteer Safeguarding Coordinator at St Margaret’s Church. She was born and brought up in London and has been a member of the congregation at St Margaret’s since 1998, joining when her son became a young chorister there, aged seven. She lives locally in SW1. She holds an MA from the University of Cambridge and has spent much of her working life in advertising. For the last fifteen years Angie has been Registrar and then Chief of Staff at Thomas’s Battersea, part of the Thomas’s London Day Schools group of pre-prep and preparatory schools in southwest London. All four Thomas’s Schools were rated in 2018 as Outstanding across the board following Ofsted inspections. She has extensive experience of all matters relating to safeguarding, security and child protection. Her work in school also includes organising community events in Battersea and contributing to the charitable work of Thomas’s Schools Foundation. Angie is married to James, an accountant and has an adult son, now a doctor.
