A Service to Mark the 30th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Oscar Romero

A special service to mark the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, who was assassinated in his native El Salvador on 24 March 1980.
Archbishop Romero is one of ten twentieth-century martyrs commemorated in statue over the Great West Door of Westminster Abbey.
The Archbishop of Canterbury gave the address. The Gospel will be read by Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, and His Eminence Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor will attend the service.
