A Service for the New Parliament

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Dr Rowan Williams, preached at a Service for the New Parliament at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, on Tuesday 8 June 2010 at 11.00 am.
There were many new faces at the service which was conducted by the Reverend Robert Wright, Rector St Margaret’s and Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons.The General Election in May returned 232 new MPs to the 650-seat House of Commons and a new Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition government.
St Margaret’s Church is often referred to as the Parish Church of the House of Commons.
