There are three possible bodies to which legacies can be left. The Dean and Chapter of Westminster has overall responsibility for all aspects of the Abbey’s life, the Garfield Weston Trust for Westminster Abbey which benefits the fabric of the Abbey, and the newly formed Westmonasterium Trust which is to further the religious and other charitable purposes of the Abbey, and support the Choir School, and Whicher and Kifford Almshouses.
