Known as the House of Kings, Westminster Abbey is the final resting place for many monarchs and has been the setting for Coronations since that of William the Conqueror in 1066. It has also witnessed numerous other royal occasions such as weddings and funerals. It is central to the life of the nation and is one of Britain’s major tourist attractions.

It provides a choice of five unique settings for a prestigious corporate or private event; the Undercroft Museum, Cheyneygates, and in the summer months, The East Cloister, Saint Catherine’s Chapel Garden and The College Garden. The flexibility of choice allows for small dinners in intimate surroundings to large gatherings of up to 500 people in grandiose settings.

The Abbey cannot be hired out for private events, for example, concerts, weddings etc. Enquiries about special services to be held in the Abbey Church should go to the Receiver General
