Westminster Abbey has existed for over 1000 years. Some 3,300 people, including Kings, Queens, statesmen, scientists, poets, musicians and the Unknown Warrior, are buried or memorialised within its walls. Every king or queen since Edward the Confessor has been crowned in the Abbey (with the exceptions of Edward V, a boy king and one of the Princes in the Tower, and Edward VIII, who abdicated.). This is an incredible legacy that has been left for us both spiritually and historically.
If you would like to help the Abbey and be a part of this enduring legacy ensuring that its strong foundation continues for the next 1000 years, a gift in your will can be a wonderful and easy way to help.
Making a will is simple and best done through a professional advisor such as a solicitor or your bank. It is always important to have a will and to keep it current as it is the only way that you can be sure that after your death your wishes will be carried out. If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone about how you can leave a legacy to support Westminster Abbey, please contact Director, Valerie Humphrey, who will be pleased to help.
