St Margaret’s Church, known affectionately as the parish church of the Houses of Parliament, needs to raise £2 million. Even with regular annual maintenance programme and on going support from the Abbey, St Margaret’s cannot overcome the natural deterioration of materials the make up its fabric, nor control its environment. The last major repairs took place over 30 years ago. It is now our generation’s turn to care for and help with the current vital repairs and maintenance.
The Appeal was launched last year and is progressing well. To date, we have raised close to £250,000. A very kind thank you to all those who have donated and supported the St Margaret’s Church Appeal so far.
Of most urgent priority now are the works on the roof. Due to the continuing ingress of water by the font when it rains, these essential repairs cannot wait.
As a part of our ongoing fundraising efforts, there is also a number of exciting Appeal events being scheduled for the coming months. Please do join us!
