Event Name Symposium: Rediscovering Justice
Start Date 4th Apr 2018 3:00pm
End Date 4th Apr 2018 6:00pm
Duration 3 hours
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly

- Rev Martin Luther King Jr (1963)

On the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, Christian Aid, in partnership with Westminster Abbey, will explore what justice looks like today, both in the UK and internationally.

The symposium will explore the theme of justice through the lens of Dr Martin Luther King:

  • His Motivation: exploring the role of faith in seeking justice
  • His Conviction: the passion emanating from the world and circumstances of the marginalised and disadvantaged communities
  • His Actions: exploring his approach and what he did to bring about transformation
