His Excellency Mr Heinz Fischer, the President of Austria, made a private visit to Westminster Abbey on Thursday 30th August 2012.
The President, who was accompanied by the Austrian Ambassador HE Emil Brix and Mrs Brix, was welcomed by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, who escorted the party on a tour of the Abbey and invited President Fischer to sign the Distinguished Visitors' Book.
