Charles and Gavin Drummond

Admiral Charles Drummond and his brother are buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey but their gravestone inscription is now very faint. It reads:

Rear Admiral Charles Drummond. Died 15 Nov 1771 aged 90 years. Also Gavin Drummond Esq. Died 15 Feb 1773 aged 85 years

They were sons of James Drummond of Pitzallonie in Scotland and his wife Isabella (Murray or Moray), widow of another James Drummond, of Monzie. Both lived at Park Prospect in Westminster. Gavin left money to various charities and to the poor of Muthill in Perthshire. His half sisters were Catherine and Margaret.
