Bridget Hollinshead

In the north transept of Westminster Abbey is the grave of Bridget Hollinshead. She was a daughter of Robert Hollinshead of Wigan in Lancashire, merchant, and his wife Alice (Allanson) of Chorley. Her brother was John. She lived near the Abbey in Parliament Street but it is not clear why she was buried in the Abbey. The grave inscription reads:

Here lieth the remains of Mrs B. Hollinshead of Chorley, Lancashire. Died 29th July 1798 aged 79

Although the stone says she was Mrs it means in this case "mistress" as she was not married.
