Sir Robert Thomas Wilson (d.1849) and his wife Jemima

The figures over the grave hark back to the costume of the 15th century and their thirteen children are shown at the base. The brass is by Hardmans of Birmingham and the main inscription tells us he was a general in the British army, Governor of Gibraltar and held, among others, the titles of Knight of the Order of the Red Eagle of Prussia, the Royal Portuguese Order of the Tower and the Sword, the Turkish Crescent and Baron of the Holy Roman Empire.
