The last of the Victorian brasses in the nave covers the grave of Scott’s successor as Abbey Surveyor. The brass was designed by W.D.Caroë and consists of a depiction of the Crucifixion on a long stemmed support. The border around the main brass, which showed symbols of the Evangelists at each corner, has disappeared.
