Dietrich Buxtehude Membra Jesu Nostri

The Choir of Westminster Abbey
St. James’s Baroque
James O’Donnell conductor

Westminster Abbey is the imposing setting for a Holy Week performance of Dietrich Buxtehude’s 1680 cycle of seven Passion cantatas, each contemplating a different aspect of the body of Christ on the cross. The world-renowned Choir of Westminster Abbey is joined by period-instrument ensemble St. James’s Baroque under the baton of James O’Donnell, the Abbey’s Organist and Master of the Choristers.

This is cathedral choral singing at its finest and most inspiring.’
The Daily Telegraph

The vigour of St. James’s Baroque was a constant pleasure.’
