Music and the Choir

Peter Holder is the Organ Scholar of Westminster Abbey for the academic year 2012-13. After completing a gap year as Organ Scholar at Southwell Minster, he spent a year as Organ Scholar at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea, before moving to St Albans Cathedral as Organ Scholar, a post he held for two years. He is also a final-year undergraduate student at the Royal Academy of Music studying with David Titterington.

Peter has recorded for BBC Radio 3 on several occasions, performed in the BBC Proms 2012 with the combined Orchestra of the Royal Academy of Music and Juilliard School, and last year accompanied the St Albans Abbey Girls Choir in their CD recording of works by Mendelssohn (Naxos).
