Westminster Abbey is a busy, exciting and vibrant place to work. In an average week our 200 staff and twice as many volunteers welcome over 2,400 worshippers and 21,000 visitors.
Our programme of special services and events means that two days are rarely the same.
Our frontline staff have a crucial role in welcoming visitors, looking after the security of the site and serving in our shop and cafe.
Behind the scenes we employ staff in a variety of equally important roles in administration and in conserving and maintaining our site, including cleaners, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and other skilled tradespeople.
