Westminster Abbey is holding an exhibition of watercolours by the artist Alexander Creswell who has painted a unique series of paintings of the interior of the Abbey at the invitation of the Dean and Chapter.
Alexander Creswell is an internationally acclaimed British artist born in 1957, best known for the watercolours he painted of the rooms damaged and restored in the Windsor Castle fire of 1992.
His distinctive style in watercolour, completely self-taught, combines subtle colouring and skilful draughtsmanship with a strong reverence for natural light.
The exhibition is free of charge and in the Chapter House, accessible via the East Cloister of Westminster Abbey.
