The Choir School provides a complete academic education tailored around the choristers’ singing routine. Music lies at the heart of the school, but equally important is the breadth of the curriculum. Classes are arranged in the traditional year groups, so they are very small indeed – normally just six to eight boys in a class, allowing plenty of individual attention and an imaginative approach. Expectations are high and boys are prepared for some of the most academically selective senior schools, though never at the expense of nurturing the individual. Choristers have a natural capacity to learn and this lies at the heart of the school’s educational approach. Facilities are excellent and good use is made of local amenities for a wide range of activities offered by the school.
